NHS Lothian is the health board which covers Edinburgh, East, Mid and West Lothian. They cover sites such as the Royal Infirmary, St John's, Sick Kids, Western General and East Lothian Community Hospital.
NHS Lothian have dedicated volunteering opportunities for young people (aged 14 - 25) to get involved with. These provide a great insight into the NHS, and give you valuable experiences to develop your inter-personal skills and build your confidence. These vary from fixed term placements to a youth forum group to help develop the whole programme.
Volunteering opportunities include:
- Fixed Term Placements (for 16+ only)
- Community Volunteers
- Youth Volunteer Ambassador
- Regular volunteering opportunities for those interested in a career in health (16+)
