STEM subjects and careers are incredibly important as STEM is all around us! We are continually experimenting in labs, technology bombards our day-to-day lives, engineering surrounds us in the form of roads and bridges, and we all use maths in some way everyday!

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics - and these are all subjects we can start learning at school! Young Scot are working with The Scottish Government to improve gender imbalances in participation of STEM courses at college and university.
