Apply: Attend a Writing Workshop With Author Tamsin Keily
If you’re interested in becoming a writer or just love creating stories, then this could be the workshop for you. You don’t need any experience - just enthusiasm!
About the author
Tamsin Keily studied psychology before completing a post-graduate degree in primary education. She now lives in Berkshire where she juggles writing with her job as a primary school teacher. After losing her mother to cancer at aged eleven, she wanted to use stories as a way to explore loss and grief, and the extraordinary magic that we all have as humans to weather the scariest of storms. She has had two adult books published - Daisy Cooper’s Rules for Living and The Surprising Days of Isla Pembroke. She is also in the process of writing a third book which is for children.
About the workshop
You will be exploring exercises and games on how to turn a tiny seed of an idea into a full story, how to bring a character to life, how to find inspiration in the smallest of things and how to just really enjoy writing.
If you’d like to take part, all you need is a notebook and pencil/pen. If you have any story ideas already, those would be fab to have in your mind but it’s not necessary to attend. Tamsin is excited to meet you virtually and have some fun creating story magic!
When: The workshop will take place virtually on Zoom. This will be on 23rd November at 7 pm and will last 1 hour. The session will be supported by Young Scot staff.
