The Scottish Ambulance Service is offering Young Scot Members an incredible opportunity - the chance to be mentored by their Chief Executive, Pauline Howie OBE!
This opportunity will provide support, practical skills, advice, and a unique insight into the highest-level of the Scottish Ambulance Service. You'll take part in a mix of one-to-ones, masterclasses, shadowing and the work experience will be tailored to ensure the successful candidates get the most out of their eight-week experience.
Far from a recruitment exercise, The Scottish Ambulance Service want to nurture the aspirations of the young people they work with. Whatever you're interested in, you'll work with Pauline and the service to design your experience to ensure you get the most out of your eight weeks.
As Chief Executive of the Scottish Ambulance Service since 2009, Pauline Howie was awarded an OBE in 2015, recognising her dedication to the service, to the NHS and to her staff.
Over the last year she has overseen a national organisation that has been at the forefront of the pandemic, managing the demands on the service while also ensuring top-level patient care. She has much to share on developing skills in being an effective leader, which will be beneficial no matter which direction you go in your career.
