Win tickets for a museum takeover at V&A Dundee!
To celebrate V&A Dundee’s current exhibition Studio Nicholas Daley, they are bringing back Dundee’s legendary club night The Reggae Klub to take over the museum for one night only.
During the day, take part in a discussion with fashion designer Nicholas Daley, musician Kayus Banks from Young Fathers, and radio host Nabihah Iqbal. The panel will explore the intersection of fashion, music and identity, questioning and reflecting on the notion of multiculturalism within British identity.
From 7pm, Nicholas, who regularly collaborates with musicians and DJs when creating his collections, has curated a one-night only museum takeover that will pay homage to grassroots club night The Reggae Klub.
The original Reggae Klub was started by Nicholas’s parents as a way of bringing people together through their shared passion for music and travelled to clubs across Scotland between 1978 and 1982. His mother Maureen, from Dundee and father Jeffrey, from Jamaica, first met in Dundee nightclub The Barracuda.
V&A Dundee are also throwing in tickets to their latest groundbreaking exhibition: Hello, Robot. Design Between Human and Machine. An exhibition which explores how robots impact our lives, from fashion to architecture, and how design in turn is changing robotics.
